Currently I am just finishing up visual development and background design at Oddbot on "Kindergarten: The Musical", a new Disney+ show. I am available for full time and freelance work.

On Saturdays during the school year, I teach background painting at Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach.

I'm an art director, visual development artist and background designer with over 20 years of industry experience in a wide variety of animation productions, from broadcast television, commercials and web animation to DTV productions, feature films and feature title sequences. I have studio experience in 2D digital, 2D traditional and 3D production pipelines.

In the last few years at Warner Brothers, I created background paintings for "Injustice",  "Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons", "Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind", "Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge" and "Babylon 5: The Road Home".

 

Additional work includes background and prop design on "Scooby Doo meets Courage the Cowardly Dog" and concept work for various shorts.

 

Recent freelance clients include visual development for DreamWorks TV on Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight and background layout for "Bless the Harts" seasons one and two for Fox. I also did background layout and paint on "Smiling Friends" for Princess Bento in Australia.

My specialties include art direction, concept design, visual development, environmental design, background layout, background painting, color keys, color scripts and color styling.
